about Jan Lindén

Jan Lindén did his first painting : a portrait of his uncle Kurt Mattson when he was 15. His mother was an art teacher  had studied painting in the Louvre school of painting and in Ateneum Art School in Helsinki.Jan's own painting career starded activly in the 70's with his first landscapes. He also used his skills when making advertisements and machine drawings for his advertising companies: Mainos-insinöörit and Lindén & Co.

He specialised in painting copies of Schjerfbeck's paintings and he also copied many masters. In the 90's he had many friends and relatives ordering their portraits . Later on he made some abstract paintings "Spräcklor". His own style and feeling for nature inspired him to make many landscape-paintings.

  He had many talents and was a great inspiration to many friends and artists around him.
